Complaints Process
-
TSTA does not accept anonymous complaints.
-
The “complainant” is the person filing the complaint. The “respondent” is the person the complaint is against.
-
Complaints must be submitted in writing using the complaint form. If you have supporting documentation, please attach it to your submission.
-
The complainant can expect to receive a written notice, acknowledging the receipt of the complaint within 5-7 business days of submission. The TSTA Board will look at complaints at each board meeting, unless it is determined that an emergency action should take place. Once the board has reviewed the complaint, the complainant can expect to receive a written notice, within 10-14 business days of that meeting, of TSTA’s decision to open an investigation or dismiss the complaint. At the conclusion of the investigation, the complainant will be provided with the outcome of the investigation.
