Recommended Steps for Creating a Local Chapter:

1. Establish Founding Members

   1. At least two members are needed to form chapter

   2. At least one founding member must be TSTA certified​​

2. Name your Chapter

3. Create By-Laws -use TSTA's as sample if you want!

4. Identify leaders

5. Apply for EIN

6. Open a Bank Account

7. Determine Fees for Membership

8. Apply to Form Local Chapter through Texas SandTray Association

Requirements of Local Chapters:

​

• Provide at least 4 hours of sandtray therapy continuing education annually

• Provide peer networking opportunities  

• Minimum of 1 board meeting per year

• At least 1 chapter officer must be a member of Texas SandTray Association

• Collect membership dues - you decide how much

• Announce CEUs and recruit members through a chapter website or Facebook page
